In an outdoor industry increasingly dominated by conglomerates and offshore manufacturing, it’s easy to forget that some brands still believe in hands-on craftsmanship. Innerloc® isn’t part of that crowd. For more than 38 years, we’ve operated under a simple principle: build the gear you’d trust on your hunt, and build it here in the USA. That belief isn’t just personal. It’s strategic.
At a time when many outdoor brands are divesting from U.S. labor and investing in slick marketing, we’re doubling down on machine oil, stainless steel, and real-world testing. Our broadheads aren’t molded in mystery steel and packed overseas—they’re cut, assembled, and tested right here in Georgia by a crew that hunts what it builds. We don’t answer to investors—we answer to bowhunters and bowfishers who need a broadhead or tip to work on the first shot, every time.
It All Started With a Lock
Back in the late 20th century, broadhead construction was still evolving. Hunters wanted fixed blades with field-point consistency, but most models compromised on one or the other. That tension led us to our first innovation: the Center Locking System™.
This patented system used interlocking L-shaped blades, threaded ferrules, and a matching bevel tip to compress the entire assembly into a solid shooting unit. The result was one of the first broadheads to eliminate blade chatter, wobble, and misalignment, while enhancing durability and cutting power. It was an advance born not from theory, but from frustration. We needed a better shot, so we built it.
And we never stopped.
American Pride, American Hands
Every Innerloc product starts and finishes in our own facility. We machine, inspect and assemble packages all under one roof. That’s not just patriotic—it’s practical.
When you outsource, you lose control. And when you’re manufacturing a broadhead like the Carnage™ that’s designed to hit bone at 400+ fps, or a Grapid™ tip meant to punch through carp skulls and bounce off river rock, control isn’t optional.
We’ve had offers. Cheaper materials, bigger margins. We turned them down because cutting corners cuts performance. And our customers know the difference.
Innovation That Stays Grounded
If you look at our product timeline, you’ll see something different from most brands: no gimmicks, no annual rebrands, no “revolutionary” features that disappear by next season. We don’t release a product unless it truly solves a real-world problem.
That commitment has led to genuine innovations like:
-
Endur-Edge™: A unique heat treatment process delivers a more durable blade
with fewer failures.
-
Blade Alignment Technology™: Designed for clean spin and tunable fletching match across compound and crossbow platforms
-
Exo-Cover™: A fully enclosed mechanical broadhead system that mimics field-point aerodynamics in high-speed bows
These features weren’t invented in a boardroom—they were field-tested by hunters frustrated by gear that didn’t live up to its claims.
Why Family-Owned Still Matters
There’s a myth that family-run businesses are outdated. But in the outdoor industry, family ownership can be the difference between a company that prioritizes craft and one that prioritizes shareholders.
We don’t answer to a board. We answer to the bowhunter sighting in at 50 yards before dawn. That means:
- We make our decisions based on performance, not quarterly spreadsheets
- We hire American machinists, assemblers, and testers who care about what they make.
- We treat customer service like customer partnership, because our users often teach us something new.
Call us, email us, or send a trophy photo—you’ll get a real answer from someone who’s probably been in a tree stand or swamp that same week.
Over 38 Years in the Field
Our history doesn’t live in an archive—it lives in freezers full of venison, racks above the shop door, and stories told on camp stoves. Innerloc gear has been part of bowhunts across the U.S.
We’ve seen the rise of compound bows, crossbows, carbon arrows, and ultra-high-speed rigs. And we’ve adapted every time—not by chasing trends, but by chasing reliability.
From turkey hunts in the Georgia pines to elk chases in Colorado’s backcountry, our broadheads have proven themselves. They’ve helped first-time bowhunters take their first deer and seasoned archers drop heavy-bodied bears on tight quartering shots. That longevity means something, and we don’t take it for granted.
Still Innovating: The 21st Century Lineup.
Our latest offerings carry the same DNA as our originals—durability, simplicity, and no-fail engineering. But they also embrace modern needs.
- The Aero-Series™ (including Shape Shifter™ and Carnage™) was built for bows and crossbows shooting 340 to 440+ fps. These aren’t re-skinned mechanicals. They use field-point-matching wraps and shrouds to stabilize flight, even in high-drag environments.
- The Unity™ arrow system combines a fiberglass shaft with a stainless steel rear section that eliminates the traditional weak spot at the slide stop. It’s built to outlast and outshoot standard arrows, especially in tournament bowfishing.
- The Grapid™ tip offers twist-to-release barb control, eliminating the need for pliers and making boat-side resets faster, cleaner, and less frustrating.
Each product shares one philosophy: don’t launch it until it’s better than what’s out there.
Why It Still Matters
In a time when broadheads are often churned out by marketing firms and labeled “innovative” for having cool packaging, we’re proud to be a company that still designs, tests, and builds our gear. Innerloc® is still owned by the same family that built the prototypes on a workbench in Georgia. We still show up to work at the same location every morning. We still answer the same phone number.
The hunting and bowfishing world doesn’t need more hype. It needs more honesty. That’s why we still do things the hard way.
Final Shot
We don’t just manufacture arrowheads—we manufacture confidence. Whether it’s a clean pass-through on a September elk or a Grapid™ tip pulling 40-pound carp from a silt bed, our gear is built to perform under pressure. We build it here. We build it ourselves. And we build it to last.
Thanks for trusting Innerloc. We’re proud to earn that shot every season.
