Field-Point Accuracy, Broadhead Damage: Inside Our Aero-Series™

Field-Point Accuracy, Broadhead Damage: Inside Our Aero-Series™

Ask any bowhunter what they want from a broadhead, and you’ll hear the same answer every time. It has to fly like a field point and hit like a hammer. That’s exactly what we built the Aero-Series™ to do.

Our Shape Shifter™ and Carnage™ mechanical broadheads are part of a new breed. They combine match-grade flight with immediate, devastating deployment. Unlike heads that rely on tension bands or snap collars, these are engineered to control aerodynamics in flight and unleash lethal cutting action on contact.

Let’s break it down.

The Problem with Most Mechanical Broadheads

Typical mechanicals use spring tension, elastomer bands, or plastic collars to keep blades closed in flight. They work, but there are issues.

First, those systems are not aerodynamic. They create turbulence and drag. Even if a broadhead stays closed, its shape disrupts arrow flight. That means point of impact can shift when you move from field points to hunting heads.

Second, many mechanicals depend on high-energy impacts to open. You can lose energy and potentially lose your kill.

This is why some hunters still stick to fixed blades. But we saw another way.

What Makes Aero-Series™ Different

The Aero-Series™ is built around the idea that a mechanical broadhead should fly like a field point and deploy on contact. Not just sometimes. Every time.

We achieve that through two patented technologies:

  1. Aero-Wrap™ (Carnage™): A thin aerodynamic wrap surrounds the blades. During flight, the head has the shape and drag profile of a field tip. On impact, the wrap cuts and peels off, letting the blades deploy instantly.

  2. Exo-Cover™ (Shape Shifter™): A molded polymer cover matches a field point exactly. When it hits the target, the cover shatters along built-in break points and forces the blades to open.

Both systems duplicate the aerodynamics of field points, eliminate the need for bands or fragile collars. And both are designed to create reliable, symmetrical openings that deliver lethal wound channels.

The Result: True Field-Point Accuracy

We’re not guessing here. Shape Shifter™ and Carnage™ fly exactly like the field tips you sight in with.

You can practice all offseason with your standard tips, then screw on Aero-Series™ heads for the hunt with no impact shift. That’s not marketing. It’s engineering. And it means less time re-sighting, more time focusing on the shot.

Even on rigs that are slightly out of tune, these heads still hit where they are aimed. The aerodynamic covers cut through wind and minimize planing. That’s huge when you’re shooting in unpredictable terrain or out past 40 yards.

Both heads fly equally well. The choice is yours.

Deployment on Contact: What You Can Expect

On impact, the Aero-Wrap™ or Exo-Cover™ gives way instantly. There’s no lag. No bounce. No premature opening in flight. Just blades deploying immediately and cutting deep.

  • Carnage™ features a 1.5-inch rear-deploy cut and thick .040-inch stainless blades.

  • Shape Shifter™ gives you a 1.25-inch cut with massive .040-inch blades as well.

Both use hardened steel tips for bone-breaking penetration. That combination of field-point trajectory and immediate slicing power is what gives you consistent pass-throughs and massive blood trails.

Field Reports from Hunters

One whitetail hunter in Indiana took a buck at 47 yards with a Carnage™ head. He had zero impact shift from field tips, and the broadhead punched through both lungs before lodging in the offside shoulder.

Another hunter in Arizona used the Shape Shifter™ from a crossbow at 390 FPS. The arrow struck low behind the shoulder of a mule deer and fully passed through. The head was recovered intact, minus the shattered cover.

These stories are common. And they speak to the engineering behind Aero-Series™.

Practice Smarter, Not Harder

One of the biggest advantages of field-point-matching design is how little practice you need with actual broadheads. You can confirm point of impact with a test head, then run your regular field tips for the rest of the season.

Who Should Shoot Aero-Series™?

If you hunt in windy states, shoot long distances, or use high-speed gear, the Aero-Series™ is designed especially for you. It’s ideal for North American big game. Crossbow users in particular will appreciate the short profile and accurate flight.

These heads are also ideal for hunters who have struggled with mechanical failures in the past. Aero-Series™ heads don’t rely on bands or guesswork. They fly straight and open on contact. Period.

Final Thoughts

The Shape Shifter™ and Carnage™ weren’t built to win marketing contests. They were built to kill game with confidence.

They fly like a field point and hit like a fixed blade. That means fewer variables, fewer tuning problems, and more recovered animals. If you’ve ever hesitated to trust a mechanical broadhead, it’s time to reconsider. The Aero-Series™ proves that you don’t have to trade accuracy for performance. You can have both.
